Normally, you would use the ‘Gum Mode’ in preference to the normal ‘Daily Clean’ mode. So brush your teeth as you would normally, just with ‘Gum Mode’, you need not brush only your gums. If the red light is coming on and the brush head is moving slower, it is the pressure sensor, which to my knowledge cannot be turned off. This brush has been entirely redesigned and uses a different motor within the handle in comparison to most other Oral-B electric toothbrushes. Great review of the above. I have one question on the deep clean mode. As this is supposed to run for 3 minutes instead of 2. Can the deep clean mode be used twice daily as brushing your teeth too long can cause damage? I am assuming you may use the deep clean mode on occasional use,once a week maybe ? I have just bought the genius X model and in the app there is no programme targeting the deep clean mode just the daily clean mode ? For hygienic reasons, use individual brush handles and brush heads for each family member. For cleaning, switch off the handle and remove the brush head. Rinse both parts separately with water and wipe them dry before reassembling. I like you don’t understand why manufacturers don’t provide it themselves, it would help many, me included. But, I hope I can fill the gap somewhat! Please do let me know the outcome when you have spoken to Oral-B, I am interested to learn the cause/solution. Reply
Electric Toothbrush Storage and Maintenance
As you may be aware, the small round brush heads from Oral-B move side to side in a circular motion. They have what is known as an oscillating-rotating cleaning action, as shown in this image. I used to be able to have 6 x 20 seconds sections. My phone is split into 6 sections but the buzzer only works every 30 seconds. How can I fix this so the buzzer works every 29 seconds. The Vitality Pro isn’t all that bad and delivers good value for money overall. It’s a variation of the Vitality, which we recommend as the best budget Oral-B toothbrush. Irrespective of the toothbrush you are using, don’t be too worried about the number of oscillations, rotations and pulsations. Any electric toothbrush should clean the teeth better than a manual brush, when used correctly. The cleaning action doesn’t feel as intense as other premium Oral-B models, yet the actual brushing results are more than satisfactory. i don’t need a toothbrush to tell me anything. especially how long to brush my teeth. let alone a bothersome quadrant timer. how can you disable every “smart” useless feature on a oral b 6000 and turn it into a manual, buttons only practical electric toothbrush. Compatible with a variety of Oral-B refill heads for every dental need. Brush heads should be replaced every 3 months. There is not a requirement to ‘have to’ use the gum care mode. It can be used in preference to or alongside the daily clean. Electric toothbrush brush heads can be pricey, so it's worth knowing what you're getting when you part with your cash.
You should be aware though, that different cleaning modes use a different number of movements. This means, that you could have the technically most powerful brush, but if you use the sensitive brushing mode, you will not be using the full power of the toothbrush. Do I need to use special brush heads?You will get some benefit from using the 3D White brush head on the Pro 600, but the Whitening mode found on more premium models does offer some extra advantages because the power settings are changed on that cleaning mode compared to the Daily Clean mode on the Pro 600. The brushes come with the “Professional” timer activated. To change this, press and hold the mode button for 2 seconds. Toggle between timer selection by pressing the on/off button. Confirm selection by I’ve seen talk of some Oral B brushes are more powerful than others with higher oscillations etc and that they all have the same batteries. But please tell me are the brushes more powerful i.e. have differing motors or just programmed to have more or less oscillations etc?
